Abstract. The article analyzes new samples of criminalistic equipment received on the basis of scientific knowledge, by implementation of analytical chemistry achievements into employment activity of forensic expert.
The Department of Criminal Investigation Technique, Volgograd Academy of the Russian Internal Affairs Ministry carries out scientific research which will make some contribution to the solution of a complex social problem of crime - creation of new material base for implementing the activity of expert staff in criminalistic divisions of new law enforcement agency. On the basis of chemistry, physics and biology knowledge, the author developed new samples of criminalistic equipment for detection, fixing, withdrawal and the analysis of metals, and their connections, such as disposable boot covers on which sole strips are made from special material for collecting metals and their connections, the device for detection and identification of metals and their connections on surveyed surfaces and a protective mask from poisoning with vapors of mercury.
The article shows that the use of scientific research results will create a powerful source of investigative and evidential information promoting establishing the objective truth in the course of preliminary investigation and the subsequent legal proceedings.
