Abstract. The article aims at studying the common and peculiar features in the approaches of various sociological and economical sociological research schools for further elaboration of the authors' standpoint on market analysis. The market is a complex and manyvalued concept, and it is difficult to reveal its essence in a single definition. The specification of concepts within the sociological theories provides a more or less complete picture of the market and the social mechanism of its functioning.
It is important for the labor market that all participants existing in the conditions of asymmetric information and having different experience and knowledge still manage to agree on price. In the Middle Ages knowledge of prices of certain specific goods or products had been particularly significant, but accessible only by specially trained people - merchants, while now the residents of any city around Russian Federation are aware of prices at their labor market. Thus, the knowledge of prices and peculiarities of market, including the labor market, has become everyday knowledge.
Key words: price, market, social mechanism, market mechanism, designing.
