Abstract. This article presents the development of a mobile application for Android designed to enhance the convenience and efficiency of urban transport in the Volgograd region. It utilizes the official API from the transport portal transport.volganet.ru. While existing solutions like Yandex Maps and official apps exist, they often rely on map interfaces that require extra steps to access real-time schedules, causing user inconvenience. The proposed application addresses this by introducing an innovative information layout, centering on a dedicated screen with stop tabs. This allows users to instantly view routes, arrival times, and destinations without constant map interaction, significantly improving interface ergonomics and reducing search time. Built on modular principles and the Model-View-Intent (MVI) pattern, the application architecture ensures predictable behavior, simplifies testing and scaling, and facilitates adding new features. The app integrates with the transport.volganet.ru API, employing client-side data processing and caching to minimize delays and maintain operation with unstable networks. The application features two main screens: a stop screen with detailed transport cards and an interactive map using Yandex MapKit for object visualization and saving favorite stops. This solution demonstrates significant potential for optimizing the user experience in urban transport.
