Abstract. The interest towards radical telomerization is conditioned by the fact that it enables to obtain comparably low-molecular long-chain organic substances with various functional groups that are hard to obtain with ordinary methods and that can be widely applied in practice.

Telomers, received from ethylene and trichloracetic acid esters, are utilized to obtain the psychotropic drug Gamalon, е-Capron (е-hexanoic acid) and biological active substances Ly-sin and methion.

Key words: reaction, telomerization, ethylene, trichloracetic acid, ethyl ester,

mechanism, reactivity.
